Using Night Sight on Pixels
By Paolo Amoroso • Issue #76 • View online
I’m no photographer but the camera is the main reason I bought a Pixel 4 XL.
Why? Because of Astrophotography mode and my lifelong passion for astronomy. Along with the optical zoom, Astrophotography mode can deliver images of star fields with good detail. I also got a tripod with a phone adapter, a must to shoot for up to 4 minutes. Night Sight, the more general night mode of Pixels, requires shorter exposures and is good for shots of the night sky where the focus is on bright objects.
In this issue’s opening link, you’ll discover Night Sight is great also for shooting terrestrial scenes.
