About Practicing Google, saving battery on Android 10, Stadia primer, and more

You realize you’d be more productive with Google products if you got more familiar with them.
But you’re busy. And it takes time to sift through the wealth of online resources searching for something good, let alone keep up with the Google ecosystem.
I can help.
What to expect from Practicing Google
Each week I’ll send you commented links to tutorials, tips, in-depth explanations, and resources that will expand your toolbox and help you do more things with Google products and related technologies, such as web apps and the cloud.
I’ll focus on practical, actionable, hands-on information rather than news or market analysis.
I’ll curate through the filter of my experience and the platforms I use daily: Android, Chrome OS, and the cloud. I go in more depth on my blog, so I’ll share also some of my own posts and occasional updates on my Google-related books.
Why I can help
I’m in a unique position to curate this stuff. Why?
Because I live and breathe Google. I have extensive experience with the products and the company, as well as having been in the Google ecosystem from the start.
The search engine is the first product I tried in 1998. In 2009 I was an Android early adopter. As a member of the Top Contributors and later Product Experts Program, I have been helping users in the official support forums since 2014. In 2016 Google invited me to the Google+ Create Program.
How do I keep up to date?
I follow almost 300 RSS feeds (nodding? we’re in the same online generation) and track additional sources on Google and related technologies. So I’ll distill the latest for you.
About me
I’m Paolo Amoroso, an Italian astronomy and space popularizer and a podcaster. Therefore, a few of the links in Practicing Google will be inspired by my activities and interests.
Let’s keep in touch
I’d love to hear what Google products you use, how the links I share help you, or any other feedback. Email me whenever you like, just reply to any issue. I read all mails.
Deal? Great, welcome! Let’s get started.
